Our Earth Abounds In Nature’s Gift’s

Nature’s gifts earth Australian Clay

Our earth, it is believed, is between 4.5 billion – 4.6 billion years old.  Our world is built upon it and it is an endless resource able to restore and maintain good health. Clays, muds, and sands are three commonly used different forms of earth.  Sand is used in building materials. It is mixed with cement and water to make concrete. Sand is also used in the manufacture of brick and glass and other materials. Where would we be without sandbags for floods? And when our roads get slippery it is used to provide traction. Sand is also used in the manufacture of computer chips – hence Silicon Valley. And we are so fortunate to have a coastline of golden sands that we can bask in, that is so clean and pure it squeaks when you walk on it, that visually delights the senses and can bring joy just by its sheer beauty.

There are many clays available for many uses.  Pottery is the ceramic material which makes up goods such as earthenware, stoneware, and porcelain and is the art or craft of the potter. Play-doh moulds and shapes stay soft, is easy to work with, and can be used over and over.  The kids love letting their imagination lose and create pieces of art that they are proud of.  Pottery allows us to use our imagination to create truly wonderful unique pieces of art, as well as functional kitchen-wares.

Then there is what is billed as “the most bizarre, most thrilling and muddiest event on the planet”. According to the website www.mudrun.com.au this is the ultimate fun run where you run or crawl your way through 7km of mud-pits, bog holes and rivers.

However, one of the most important clays are mineral clays and these are widely used in the healing and cosmetic industries. The TL Collection range of healing mineral mud masks has been blended using specially sourced natural active Australian clays.  Rare earth, abundant minerals, crystal clay, and pure active mineral water combine perfectly to produce mineral mud with superior healing qualities that naturally detoxes, cleanses, nourishes and tones to name just a few of the many benefits.

TTLC mud mask range offers a uniquely pure Australian product that doesn’t mask skin imperfections but works naturally under the skin’s surface to heal skin problems.

Our Earth abounds in natures gifts, and clay is never boring. There are so many ways to explore, create and enjoy the wonderful world of clay.  As you are sitting in your home-built of bricks made of sand, sipping out of your hand-made ceramic cup, with your healing mud mask on, with the aroma of your scented candle, spare a thought for the wonderful world of clay.  Please see our ETSY store for our complete range of healing clay and mud products.
