Clay Health Benefits

There are many clay health benefits to be experienced with the use of clay therapy. Try eating or drinking it as well and feel the power of clay internally. Our Australian clays and zeolites are packed with lots of minerals and good stuff and truly are nature’s gifts. Below are just five of the many reasons drinking clay is a good idea.

  1. Energy and Vibrancy

We are exposed to heavy pollutants daily and these can be found in our immediate environment, in the air, we breathe especially in our cities, pesticides, and fertilizers in our food and water supply, and chemicals and preservatives in our health, beauty and wellbeing products to name but just a few.

Zeolite’s unique structure allows it to draw in microbes including harmful bacteria, viruses, and fungus. It helps to absorb these toxins while eliminating them from your body before they enter your bloodstream, thereby reducing toxins to the liver, kidneys and lymphatic system.  The more efficient these organs are, then less energy is required to eliminate excess toxins, resulting in a more energetic and vibrant body.

  1. Mineral supplement

Our soils continue to be depleted of minerals due to chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and over-production.  Therefore our fruit and vegetables do not contain the minerals they used too. Zeolite acts as a mineral supplement with the most active minerals being calcium, magnesium, and silica but there are many more minerals and trace elements too.

  1. Super-antioxidant to maintain Good Health

In cases of organic disorders, its intense activity eliminates and destroys unhealthy cells and activates the rebuilding of healthy ones and acts as a cleansing agent eliminating all noxious substances.  Zeolite is described as a “super-antioxidant and an immunostimulant” by medical researchers in Europe who claim that it eliminates free radicals from our systems and acts as a preventative measure to ensure good health.

  1. Helps maintain blood pH balance

Another benefit to drinking Zeolite is its ability to rebalance the blood’s pH level. The pH level of blood should ideally be between 7.35 and 7.45. Our TL Collection Zeolite has a pH level of 7.4. This is extremely important when you look at the issue of mutating cells and acid level conditions in the body. Maintaining an alkaline system is vital for good health.

  1. Balance our bodies

Zeolite is a natural mineral in its micronized form. During micronization the microcrystalline structure is fragmented under pressure, releasing more “activity” than that exists in the mother stone. Medical scientists found that by utilizing the micronization process, the same action can clean up and balance our bodies.

Experience the power of clay

People have been ingesting – drinking or eating clay – for thousands of years with many beneficial outcomes, however not all clays/zeolites are created equally, and only those suited to eating or drinking should be used. The TL Collection has unearthed a wonderful pure 100% Natural Australian Micronised Clinoptilolite, a super-fine crystalline Zeolite powder suitable for ingesting. Are you ready to start your day utilizing the power of clay?

Skin Care Dealing With Acne

Acne is a disorder that can cause the sufferer a lot of emotional distress. While acne is quite common for teenagers it can continue well into maturity, resulting in emotional side-effects such as embarrassment, loss of confidence, low self-esteem, to name a few. Many of you may have tried everything but nothing seems to work, in fact, some products seem to exacerbate the condition.Clay therapy, a completely natural and effective alternative to traditional skin care, may be just the solution you are looking for.The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) advises that close to 100% of people between the ages of 12 and 17 have at least an occasional whitehead, blackhead or a pimple, regardless of race or ethnicity. But for many, it goes beyond the occasional blemish.

Acne usually starts appearing between the ages of 10 to 13 and lasts about 5 to 10 years. However, acne can persist well into the late 20s, 30s and even beyond. Some people may even get acne for the first time as adults.Acne also affects males and females equally, however, males are more likely than females to have more severe, longer lasting forms of acne (AAD).Acne is a disorder resulting from the (over) action of hormones and other substances on the skin’s sebaceous (oil) glands and hair follicles (National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS). Together with water and perspiration, sebum acts as the skin’s barrier system. However, these same factors can lead to blocked pores resulting in outbreaks of pimples, blackheads, etc and in many cases scarring, on the face, neck, back, chest, and shoulders. To help balance sebum production it is good to start from the inside. Follow a diet consisting of fresh fruit and vegetables, protein, complex carbohydrates and of course, drink lots and lots of water. Avoid the usual nasties such as cigarettes, coffee, alcohol, and refined sugars.

And for the outside or skin surface daily cleansing is imperative. Avoid synthetic chemicals such as harsh surfactants in cleansers, and alcohol in toners, as these tend to strip the skin of sebum, resulting in the skin producing more oil to compensate, thereby creating a vicious circle. Cosmetics, such as foundation, blusher, eye shadow, moisturizer, and hair-care products should also be oil free. Look for products labelled as non-comedogenic (does not clog pores).
Try also using a completely natural alternative to conventional skin care, one that does not contain oils, fragrances, preservatives, etc. Acne treatments work by reducing oil production, speeding up skin cell turnover, fighting bacterial infection or doing all three (Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research). Clay mud face & body masks may be just what you are looking for it as has all these three actions in each application.Furthermore, clay therapy assists in reducing the potential for acne scarring and helps dissolve existing pockmarks. © Linda Philip
